Darina Moldabek is an artist for whom art is a constant journey. Sometimes it takes her to different countries, and sometimes — inward. Her world follows cycles: each new period brings a different vision, new forms, and palette. But behind this movement stands stability — a rhythm she feels intuitively. Her art reflects these changes. She observes, captures signs, and translates them into color, line, and texture. Sometimes it’s abstraction, sometimes — objects filled with personal meanings. But at the core of her work always lies one thing: the search for inner support — in the surrounding world, in traditions, in new experiences. Born and raised in Kazakhstan, she carries its visual code within her. Kazakh ornaments, steppe tones, deep symbolism — all of this becomes part of her language, but not as a direct quote, rather as a personal rethinking. In this process, her family heritage also plays a role — Darina is a fourth-generation artist, which gives her a unique connection to the traditions and history of art passed down through generations. Her paintings are a way to explore life, its rhythms, and transitions.
